Hiring and Communicating with a Home Cleaning Service

Thanks for stopping by my website. My name is Annabelle Collins. My husband and I live in a large house with our two teenage children. We’re fortunate in that we’re able to have a cleaning service come and clean on a weekly basis. In the past, I found that it was difficult for me to exert myself when it came to hiring and communicating with our cleaning service. I’ve never been very authoritative, and that shone through in a not good way. I wanted things to be done in a certain way, but found it difficult to ask for what I wanted. I have come to realize that in order for the service to do the job I want to be done, I have to ask for it to happen. I doubt that I’m alone in the fact that this is difficult, and want to share my experience and growth.

Enjoy A Clean Kitchen By Investing In A Few Upgrades

by Vicki Burns

When you know that one of your least favorite chores is cleaning, you may want to remodel your home to reduce how dirty certain features get and make things easier to clean. An excellent place to focus on is the kitchen because this is where much of the space will end up getting dirty.

While you can follow tips and tricks that may help you reduce how dirty your kitchen gets, you should not hesitate to invest in remodeling and kitchen design projects that will help you maintain a clean kitchen.

Countertop

A worthwhile feature to change in your kitchen is the countertop, especially if yours is tile. The problem with tile is that the grout elevation changes make it easier for crumbs to get stuck.

Switching to a smooth surface such as quartz, granite, or even laminate will make the entire space easier to clean because all it takes is a swift wipe with a dish cloth or paper towel.

If you want the crumbs that do end up on the countertop to blend in, you may want to opt for browns and grays. When you want to see the crumbs so you can clean them right away, you should consider going with white or black as these colors will make most crumbs show up easily.

Cooktop

Replacing the cooktop is another smart idea to enjoy a cleaner kitchen because you may have a gas or electric stovetop with drip pans, heating elements, and burner grates. All these features must be cleaned, but you can make your cooktop easier to clean by going with a smooth cooktop.

When food or liquid spills over or out of a pot, all you need to do is wipe down the surface. You will not have to worry about the spill getting on the heating element, drip pan, and cooktop.

Sink

The kind of sink that you have will have a noticeable impact on how clean your kitchen stays. An undermount sink will always be easier to keep clean over a top-mount sink because there will not be a lip where crumbs can get stuck and liquid can seep underneath that can lead to mildew. Also, getting a fireclay sink is smart as their durability allows you to use harsh cleaning products.

Enjoying a clean kitchen that is also easy to keep clean is something that you can accomplish by taking on several of these remodeling projects.
